Bushcraft
Knowl Hill School is proud to present our own bespoke Bushcraft adventure, in and around 36 acres of fenced hills and farmland, in the stunning, untouched and ancient North Yorkshire National Park.
The experience is delivered 'in-house', led by Mr David Sargeant, a qualified Forest School practitioner, accredited Educational Visits Controller and Lowland Mountain Leader, sporting more than two decades leading children’s expeditions across the country, as well as Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Activities include: trekking across the Dales, battles in the hay fortress, river trekking and bridge building, the ancient arts of Bushcraft, bread making and charcoal burning, along with treasure hunts and forest games.
The children camp out, eat campfire food and each will leave a legacy in the form of a tagged tree sapling in the newly allocated and donated Featherstone Forest.
