The Summer Fair this year raised just over £700. Thank you for supporting the school and to our PTA for their time and effort.

Congratulations and a huge thank you to Kristy for her achievement of completing the Manchester Marathon - in 4:14:18 (3 minutes faster than last year's time).

She has raised £2,100 in donations.

Thank you Kristy from all of us at KHS.

Dr Govender and all of the staff team, are amazed at the hard work, commitment and effort the parent community, PTA, fellow staff and pupils put in to fundraising.

Knowl Hill School and all of you truly encompass our commitment of "Life Chances for All".

Outdoor Shelter Funding Drive

Space has been a challenge at times for us at Knowl Hill School, but we believe a purpose built outdoor sheltered construction will make this challenge a thing of the past.

We are commissioning a company to create a bespoke outdoor area on site.  This purpose built structure will mean that all our pupils are able to get fresh air and exercise all year round, and create even more of a "community" for the whole school.

Our commitment to our pupils and their families, is to experience life skills; skills that boost morale, confidence, social interaction and wellbeing.  This shelter will now give us the space to really grow this key component which is so vital in everyone's lives.

We aim to be able to display some of the extraordinary work our students create and the majority of our functions will now be able to be on site rather than at hired locations.

Hire charges that we currently pay will now be pumped straight into equipment, trips and outings for the pupils.

This really is an exciting time and we will be uploading a fundraising barometer to show the progress being made.

Your contributions are so greatly appreciated by us, but more importantly all of the children that you entrust to us will truly benefit from everything this new space will give them.

If you wish to make a donation to our current projects, please do so via our bank account:

Mrs McEvoy - Speech and Language teacher - is running the Manchester Marathon.  All donations are going to Skillway - an Option many of our pupils sign up for.

Skillway offers practical craft skills in a workshop environment.  The students enjoy hands on learning delivered by volunteer skilled craftsmen.

The students are treated as young adults in an environment unlike school and are prepared for the world of work, and/or further training in specialist colleges, or apprenticeships.
