HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT 

Permanent 

Full time 

£16,000 - £19,000 depending on experience and qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team and support pupils and staff within the school.

The ideal candidate will be expected to take on responsibility for supporting individual pupils, teachers, and the school community as required.

The key responsibilities of this role are to develop an understanding of the special educational needs of identified pupils, and ensure their access to the lesson and its content through appropriate clarification, explanations, equipment and materials. To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them consistently, with respect and consideration and to help promote independent learning.

The HLTA may also be required to teach pupils assigned to him/her in the allocated class according to their educational needs. To supervise the work of another classroom assistant if appropriate. To maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the school and also manage systems necessary to co-ordinate the work of the school as a whole.

FULL TIME SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Band 6 equivalent

£32,000-£39,000 (paid school holidays)

We are looking for a full time, qualified and HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to join our experienced therapy team.

Knowl Hill School, is a school for students with SpLDs. We are a very friendly school with a high value on mental health and wellbeing. You will be part of a supportive team of SLTs and OTs, providing 1:1, small groups and in-class support to a small caseload.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience (preferably within an educational/paediatric setting). An understanding of the EHCP process is also preferred. 

You will need to be a warm, patient and innovative practitioner, who has the ability to be flexible and work within a team and have a desire to understand the often complex needs of our pupils.

FULL TIME TEACHER OF ENGLISH

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time teacher of English to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have experience with SpLD learners and also experience in teaching students at a KS2, Lower KS3 level. 

The ideal candidate must be warm and engaging and have the ability to teach pupils across all age ranges and according to  individual educational needs.

You must be able to maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Additionally you will need to be comfortable communicating with outside agencies, consulting with colleagues and parents as necessary.

You will be experienced in assessing and reporting pupils achievements and progress.  Record keeping and a strong attention to detail is essential for this position 

As part of this role you will be expected to participate in training, staff meetings and parents meetings, and run after -school enrichments as required.

FULL TIME SEN LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team and support pupils and staff within the school.

The ideal candidate must be warm and engaging and have the ability to work under pressure and multi- task.

Experience working with pupils across all age ranges and abilities is required and knowledge or experience working with SEN pupils would be ideal.

PART TIME (0.4) OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST REQUIRED

We are looking for a qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our experienced therapy team. Knowl Hill School, is a school for students with SpLDs. We are a very friendly school with a high value on mental health and wellbeing. You will be part of a supportive team of Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, providing 1:1 therapy, small groups and in-class support to a small caseload.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years post qualification experience (preferably within an educational/paediatric setting). An understanding of sensory integration principles, standardised assessment and awareness of the EHCP process is also preferred.

You will need to be a warm, patient, and innovative practitioner with a desire to understand the often complex needs of our pupils. A need to be responsive, flexible and able to work in a team is also essential.

PART TIME OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

£18,000 PA (gross) 

We are looking for a friendly and approachable, responsible, and trustworthy office administrator to join our small, friendly team.

The role of Office Administrator is and varied and would suit someone who has a flexible approach and the ability to work on several projects at once.

You should be able to work on your own initiative and effectively manage own workload and prioritise efficiently. The ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator who is used to working as part of a team and must be able to work to set deadlines and under pressure.

You should have an excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Office. The successful applicant will be detail focused and this role would suit candidates currently working in an administrative role who are now seeking a new challenge.
