English Teacher Vacancy
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher for senior school aged pupils at our specialist school for children with dyslexia and related educational needs, from April 2021.
All our pupils need to be taught in a creative and multisensory way. The rewards are huge as we see excellent progress and achievement in pupils who have struggled to learn in mainstream settings. Class sizes are very small, usually 5 – 7, and behaviour is very good. Qualifications offered in maths range from Entry Level to GCSE , plus GCSE English Literature.
You will need to be a warm, patient and innovative teacher, with a desire to understand the often complex needs of our pupils.
Please send a CV with an accompanying covering letter addressed to Mrs J Lusty to office@khs.education. If you are shortlisted, your interview will take place online.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people with Special Needs and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
