Safeguarding
At Know Hill School, safeguarding is our highest priority. We want to ensure that all children are safe, happy and secure at all times.
Knowl Hill Safeguarding Policy Statement
The welfare of the child is paramount, and safeguarding all members of our school community underpins everything that we do. We recognise that children have a right to feel safe and secure, they cannot learn effectively unless they do so. All children have a right to be protected from harm and abuse.
We recognise that all staff have a role in the prevention of harm and abuse and an equal responsibility to act immediately on any suspicion or disclosure that may indicate a child is at risk of harm. With this in mind, all members of staff receive regular training in identifying and raising child protection concerns, dealing appropriately with disclosures, and handling sensitively issues around online safety, sexual health and appropriate relationships, and drugs and alcohol awareness.
