English Teacher
Full Time
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our supportive team at Knowl Hill School. Working with small classes of neurodivergent pupils, including young people with dyslexia and specific learning differences, you will have the time and flexibility to really get to know each pupil and help them develop confidence and a love of English. We offer a nurturing, low-arousal environment, excellent facilities, strong support from colleagues and therapists, and opportunities for specialist SEN professional development. If you are an experienced secondary English teacher who believes in helping every child thrive, we would love to hear from you.
What You will Bring:
  • A subject-specialist background: A degree in English Language or English Literature is essential. You love your subject and know how to make books, language and writing accessible and exciting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS): Experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • An eye for individual learning styles: A recognised SEN qualification or a Level 5 qualification in Dyslexia (or equivalent) is highly desirable, though a genuine commitment to specialist training and inclusive practice is equally valued.
