A message from Mrs Medley – Sunday 3 February 2019:
Today has been our first full day at the resort. It was all hands to the ready, tightening and buckling up the ski boots for this morning’s ski session, then a short walk to a bucket lift that takes us up the mountain to a large flat area, which is our meeting point with our instructor Nick. We have our lessons from 9-11am and then 1-3pm each day.
After lunch I asked the students to have a go at putting their own ski boots on, which went pretty well considering it is only day one. Whilst tightening one students boots, I noticed that another student sitting next to me was chuffed to bits that they had managed to get their boots on with no assistance; unfortunately they were on the wrong feet! We both had a little giggle and quickly changed them over.
Lunch today was jacket potato with a selection of salads, beans and cheese. Tonight's meal was roast pork with veg, followed by a chocolate brownie for desert.
Mr Maré and I would like to say a big thank you to all the parents for delivering the students to the airport on time, especially considering the weather conditions. Not sure if anyone got any sleep on Friday evening!
This week’s weather report is marvellous - sunshine and cloud. The resort had snow like us on Friday, but they had a meter of fresh snow, so we have tip top skiing conditions too.
Wishing you all a good day.
Over and out for now.
I have attached a picture of the our view from the lobby.
