Dear Parents and Carers
As some of you may be aware, we had a surprise visit by Ofsted on Wednesday 28 September 2016. The report has now been published and is below. We are very pleased with the findings of the inspection, which as you can see are overwhelmingly positive.
Although it was not a full inspection, several key areas were examined in detail, including the leadership and management, safeguarding, behaviour, bullying and the complaints procedure. To summarise, the inspector found that as Headteacher I provide effective leadership and that the staff are enthusiastic and committed; we are a good team!
Some of the highlights of the report include the following statements:
Leaders have made safeguarding everyone’s priority
There is a distinct culture of vigilance and care
Pupils say that they feel safe and are well cared for at the school
Leaders have set high expectations of pupils’ behaviour
Pupils are courteous and sensible
Pupils and adults interacted well demonstrating strong and respectful relationships
Both pupils and staff report that incidents of bullying are rare
The inspection was triggered by an anonymous complaint. If you do feel that you need to raise a concern with us about any of the issues above, or indeed any issues regarding your child’s learning experience, please do let us know. We welcome feedback and are constantly working to improve the school and to be a centre of excellence, which means that we can never become complacent. Meanwhile, I hope that you are as pleased as I am by this report.
PS, Please ignore the stated annual fees, which are incorrect.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Mrs Janet Lusty
